We work with a local producer on the Norwegian coast who has long-standing traditions in processing and cooking brown crab, with expertise passed down through generations. The crab is freshly processed just minutes from where it is caught — preserving the clean, delicate flavor that comes from the cold, clear waters of Norway.
Our own family farm is located only 30 minutes from the production site, in the heart of Norway’s crab region. This proximity allows us to work closely with our partners and ensure exceptional quality and traceability in every batch.
The Mr. Johnsen family has been connected to the sea for over a century. My family farm has been in our family’s hands for more than 100 years, passed down through my great-grandfather, grandfather, and father. Generation after generation, my family lived off the land and the sea — as farmers and fishermen.
As for myself, I grew up close to the ocean and developed a passion for food early on. I became a chef and worked on boats along the Norwegian coastline, and later as chief cook in international shipping. Throughout my global career, I have had the privilege of cooking and experiencing food from all corners of the world. Inspired by those travels and culinary experiences, I returned to my roots and began developing a line of premium crab products that reflect both my heritage and my taste journey.
